About the Brigadier

Hello,

This is Edward, the Brigadier.

We have a confession to make

We used to be a dandy, but we have become tired of trying to match extravagant clothes together. And we did not enjoyed having a cluttered wardrobe.

Today, our wardrobe is more like a capsule — small and easy to match.

We still have countless ties, but they don’t take much space. So we don’t struggle to keep my wardrobe free from clutter.

Before, we were trying hard to look effortlessly stylish.

Today, with our new system, we look as effortlessly stylish as before, only we spend a third of the time getting dressed. That’s what we call being genuinely effortlessly stylish — and we’ll show you how to get there.

Our motto: The Devil's in the details

The other thing you need to know about us, is that we have an eye for detail. We are good at noticing the small things that explain why an outfit doesn’t look quite right.

We’ve spent countless hours focusing on details and uncovering new rules about shoes, tie knots, suit tailoring, and eyewear.

We’ve made countless mistakes too, with our purchases, with our style. We have wasted so much money.

So much so, that we have tons of observations to share with you. Follow us, and you’ll start seing new things, and understand the matrix of style — elegant or casual.

We point out the details that make the difference between being stylish, and failing to be…

Now you understand why we run Brigade du style.

For the same reason, we are passionate about balanced proportions, the Golden Ratio, and all things related to timeless beauty.

For years, we have also been run a private consultancy on elegance. Some clients come to us to choose the right wedding outfit, others want for a full wardrobe overhaul.

Brigade du style is not for you if...

If you think that “beauty lies in the eye of the beholder”, you’re not going to like what we have to say. We’d therefore advise you to close this page right now.

On the contrary, if you feel that there’s been a common thread for stylishness across centuries, whether it’s a Musketeer or a basketball player, this is the right place for you… and we’d like to extend a warm welcome to you!

Regards,

Edward the Brigadier
